In Planetes you are free to build your spaceship, explore the stars, find asteroids, moons and planets, which you can extract resources from and build bases on. Create alliances with friends and wage wars against your enemies. There are intentionally very few restrictions in this game, allowing the player to follow whatever path they desire.
